Reviews & ratings Paris - Rome
Me and my family travelled to on Train from paris to London and Rome to Venice. Bought the tickets on line from Pakistan, every thing was very convenient and excellent service.
The staff was great. The linens were fresh. The supplies were convenient. My suggestion would include an updated train car. Toilets were smelly. Berth was well designed but had seen better days. We paid for a first class berth, but felt more like a very used hotel room. Air conditioning was nonexistent. It was a good way to travel from Pome to Paris while viewing some of the countryside, but just had to keep focused on that rather than the accommodations.
This was my first time traveling on raileurope and will certInly not be the last. I travelled from London to Paris to Milan and to my final destination Rome. The journey was as good as the vacation. Comfortable and convenient. You certainly travel in style. Thumbs up to a fantastic company.
Was The first time I took one overnight train! I'm very happy I've done that ! The travel was great! I do recommend this kind of trip for your next time!
During overnight journey, toilet flush did not work inthe toilet. Dinner items were not adequate. And that too finished early. Self being handicapped, help with luggage was not readily available. Rest were ok
I was travelling with my elderly parents and two boys. My younger one is less than two years old so need not pay for the ride and not allocated a seat. We were allocated 4 seats/couchettes in a cabin that can accomadate 6 persons. To our surprise, another 2 persons were also assigned to the cabin. In view of so many people in the cabin, the ride was not that comfortable. The couchettes is so narrow, you can hardly toss around while sleeping alone, let alone with a baby by your side. The train was quite old, making a lot of noise while travelling and kind of shaky. Last but not least, some toilet is not well-maintained, the flushing system is spoiled.
Taking a sleeper train or the long journey from Paris to Rome was less comfortable than I expected. The worst part was the toilet experience. The only way to describe it is disgusting. The toilets did not have a seat. Under normal circumstances that is fine but on a train that is rocking from side to side, trying to crouch can be difficult. This resulted in urine all over the floor. The toilet paper had also run out and there were no hand towels. The bed in the sleeper car was fairly comfortable and the temperature was good despite the intense heat outside. Make sure you bring food with you on the train as the meals available on the train should be used strictly for emergencies only.
