Your travel by train from Paris to Basel
The journey between Paris and Basel is over 3 hours travelling direct with the TGV Lyria. The high speed trains travel between France and Switzerland regularly. The trains are air-conditioned and the carriages are spacious and comfortable. There’s a buffet bar with hot and cold snacks and refreshments and First Class passengers are served a light meal in-seat.
The TGV Lyria departs Paris from Gare de Lyon and Paris Est to Basel with both direct trains and those which change at Mulhouse or Strasbourg. Both Paris stations are well connected by public transport. Basel Station is made up of two stations, the Swiss SBB and French SNCF. From Basel Station onward travel around Switzerland and abroad is easy and bus 50 runs regularly to the airport.
