Travel inspiration in Nice and Geneva
Nice, the capital of the French Riviera
Nice, capital of the French Riviera, is the place to be whether you are an art lover, a shopping addict, night clubber or just fond of the Dolce Vita lifestyle. Nice is a creative, dynamic and cosmopolitan city. The city is a symbol of Mediterranean art of living, with a perpetual invitation to travel and relaxation. Its surroundings also provide various opportunities for cultural discoveries. Nice has an exceptional microclimate, open to the sea and protected from the winds by the surrounding hills.
Geneva, the second largest Swiss city
Geneva is the second most important city of Switzerland. It is located alongside Lake Geneva, Europe’s largest lake, at the foot of the Jura Mountains. The city of Geneva is home to a number of headquarters to several international organisations such as the United Nations (UN) and the Red Cross. This makes Geneva one of the few global cities with an important financial centre. Geneva is also a popular tourist destination mainly for two reasons. Geneva is a dream city thanks to a unique setting and a magnificent view of Mont-Blanc, the highest peak in Europe. The countryside, the perfect place for outdoor activities, is only a few minutes away from the city. Geneva is the best starting point to visit rest of Switzerland thanks to an excellent public transport connection.
Reviews & ratings Nice - Geneva
"Nice to Geneva"Alain d. 06/02/2015
Train depated on time. Found our seats easily. Comfortable. Polite conductor. Room enough for luggage. Refreshment bar could have a somewhat better selection but it was OK. Arrived on time too. Altogether a good experience, priced right.
"Comfortable (Geneva - Nice)"Anjali g. 07/07/2014
The journey was comfortable, though for long distance journeys there should be a bit more luggage space. However, due to some problem with the printout (the coach number got mashed into other words) due to some software glitch, a lot of people on our train were confused about their seats, and we had to guide some of them to their own seats as they were sitting on ours! The railway staff was not very active in helping people with this issue. Hope you have taken care of the printing issue for future.
"nice to paris"Badr a. 03/07/2014
the strikes were still on but thanks god this trip hasn't been canceled but the amount of people were entering without any tickets was too much :) we entered the train we found some1 sitting in our seats and he didn't move unless the ticket sir came .. when I did the reservation I haven't the choice to choose my seats and when the tickets sent by my email I found the seats in the upper seats and I have my dad senior
Everything was smooth and efficient.
"1st class"Colette f. 18/07/2013
The journey it self has wonderful views and a very comfortable reclining chair, that is where th comfort stops Being in 1st class ( many other countries offer so much more ) I thought there would of been more to make our 6 hour journey more comfortable, no free coffee, no wifi and not once did see a cleaner removing people's rubbish . Don't waste your money with 1st Class buy a standard ticket.
