Travel inspiration in Turin and Milan
Turin, an unforgettable experience
Wide streets and 17th-century buildings are surrounded by snow-capped mountains in Turin, dubbed the Capital of the Alps. This wealthy Italian city is a centre for industry, fashion and the arts, with a football-mad population who split their rabid loyalty between giants Juventus and Torino.
Milan, the second largest city in Italy
Milan is a main Italian city and regarded as the fashion capital of Europe. Milan is also an transport hub for Italy. The city has an important stake in the finance, commerce, media and sport of Italy. Two of its football teams, Inter Milan and Milan AC, are known throughout the world. Milan is located in the north west of Italy and is home to a number of museums, designers factory shops, churches and other landmarks. Those who love street style would love the Navigli area. In Piazza XXIV Maggio, shoppers will find brands such Custo-Barcellona, Diesel, Miss Sixteen, Gas and Fornarina, alongside second-hand clothes shops, handmade clothes and accessory stores made from silk and other precious materials.
The main railway stations of Milan are Milan Centrale and Milan Porta Garibaldi. The two stations are about 1.5 kilometres away from each other.

"Geneve CFF to Milano Centrale".
As the case with every trip I make to Europe from Dubai, I booked my train trip from Geneve to Milan via Rail Europe
"Value for money!"Ra b. 27/11/2013
Five of us travelled from Venice to Milan with lots of luggage. We booked 2nd class so didn't expect any help with our luggage. We have a motto "only take what you can carry yourself" The luggage rack area was safe and easily accessible. We had seats facing each other with a table which was ideal. Comfy seats, plenty of room was just what we needed. The online booking was so simple. Will definitely recommend.
"Excellent scenery"Kazunori k. 20/11/2013
It was a nice journy from Milan to Zurich and train staff was very familiar. More cleanliness is needed, for example full trash boxes.

"Beautiful journey"Surabhi j. 08/11/2013
The train was clean and comfortable but the WC in our coach was not working, so it was inconvenient with a little one to walk past an entire coach for the same. Otherwise, the train was nice and we had no issues whatsoever. Thanks!
"Beautiful journey "Surabhi j. 08/11/2013
Journey was beautiful and train was comfortable wrt seats and other basic amenities. The train was late and we had a connecting train from Milan so it was hectic for us. We had kept 2 hrs gap in between two trains and the train was late by one hour, which is usual for this TGV route. Rest was perfect!
"TGV Turin to Paris"David w. 06/11/2013
It was a nice trip but was unable to connect with the WiFi on the train even though I was charged for it. Very convenient.
"Train from Florence to Milan"David w. 04/11/2013
The train is very clean and seats are comfortable. Most importantly, they are always very punctual. I realise it is cheaper to buy the ticket on-line before travel and not when you are there. The price difference can be quite great.
"RailEuropememorable experience"Satyanarayana p. 01/11/2013
I wanted to see Leonardo's painting 'The last supper'. I got my guided tour reserved for 22/09/2013 at 10 am. I booked my Rail-Europe tickets Firenge to Milan at 7 am and back at 13-15 pm by 2nd class each for 17 Euros, from India. It was a tight trip and I was tense weather I can make it. The trains were on time and I could fulfill my long cherished dream of watching Leonardo's magnum opus. Thanks to Rail-Europe for its prompt service at an affordable price.

"Relaxed "Aby t. 26/10/2013
We (myself and wife) traveled from Luzern to Rome and the trip was in two legs. First one was from Luzern to Milan and then from Milan to Rome. We chose the train as we were interested in the landscape of Switzerland and Italy on the way. It was a comfortable trip, nice and clean coaches, good seats and comfortable cabins with very less noise. Also the view was great - through the hillsides and valleys of Switzerland and the farms and houses of Italy. Overall - very good experience.
