Travel inspiration in Toulouse and Paris
Toulouse, the capital of Midi-Pyrénées region
Toulouse is a French city located in the South West of France in the Midi-Pyrénées region. The region is well known for its sunny climate and gastronomy. As for Toulouse, the capital of the Midi-Pyrénées region, is a city with an exceptional heritage. From its beautiful private mansions, churches, museums and landmarks, the pink city, as it is also known (Ville Rose in French) will charm you. Toulouse is France’s 4th biggest city and as such is home to over 400,000 inhabitants. The city which can be easily reached from Paris of Bordeaux is also a well-known university town and the European aeronautical capital. Did you know that Toulouse is the iconic capital of Rugby. Its flagship team is Stade Toulousain, which is one of the most successful clubs in Europe with eighteen league titles in France, three cups of France and four cups of Europe.
Paris, the capital of France
One of the world’s greatest cities, Paris! The capital of France is also known as the City of Light. This enchanting city, at the crossroads of cultures, is the capital of fashion and home to world highlights such as the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre and Avenue des Champs Elysées, to name but a few. In terms of architectural beauty, art history, events, gastronomy and sheer extravagance, Paris is a milestone ahead of any other city on earth. Paris has one of the world’s most extensive public transport systems. You can take a taxi if you are not much of an adventurer, but that would be a pity! Metro (subway or underground), buses and city bicycles are much more fun and are very easy to use, even for beginners.

"Excellent Experience"Ai Luan p.
Very convenience and value for money for our Paris-London trip.
"Paris to Strasbourg"John n. 27/11/2013
The train was very comfortable and the ride was quite speedy. E-tickets were very easily purchased and downloaded.
"Comfortable train ride"Nurhuda Binte j. 25/11/2013
It was the first time taking Thalys from Amsterdam to Paris and it was a nice experience. It was comfortable. Since we booked our tickets in advanced, it was value for money and we were allocated to seats that we wanted.
"confusing"Lynda Marie w. 22/11/2013
T he train we got on at Lille was two trains joined together which made it very confusing when trying to find the coach we were in nearly missed the train trying to find the right coach. and when we arrived in Paris the signs for the underground trains are really poor we expected better from such a large city. Arriving back at St Pancras in London the difference is startling even if you are a visitor and don,t know much of the language you would find where you are going much easier.
"Delay appallingly handled"Teong l. 20/11/2013
The train to Paris Gare Lyon was to leave Figueres Vilafant (where I boarded) at 5:20 PM. it left the station punctually enough. However, when we got to the next station (Perpignan), we were told that strong winds had caused disruptions to power lines and, as a result, the track from Perpignan to the next station was not prperly set. The solution was for everyone to alight from the train at Perpignan and take a bus (provided) to the next station to continue the journey. To my understanding, the track at the next station had been amiss since 3-ish PM (2 hours before the start of our journey). Despite that, Rail Europe had arranged only one bus on standby at Perpignan to transfer the passengers. Needless to say, one bus was barely sufficient. So the bulk of the passengers waited at the Perpignan station for just over 2 hours for the next train to arrive hoping that in the meantime the track at Perpignan would be set right. All along, it didn't seem anyone was really in charge - there were sometimes conflicting indications from the rail employees. It really was quite an appalling state of affairs. All in all, the total journey was delayed for between 2 and 3 hours and arrived in Paris way past 2 AM (not including taxi queueing time!). If you take Europe Rail, cut yourself some slack as delays (for all kinds of reasons) happen more often than you'd expect and, frustratingly, quite a tolerated scenario, especially in France. The delay was unfortunate as everything else was good.
"Excellent Service"Tausif k. 18/11/2013

"value foe money"Tausif k. 14/11/2013

"An experience"Tausif k. 13/11/2013
The staff was great. The linens were fresh. The supplies were convenient. My suggestion would include an updated train car. Toilets were smelly. Berth was well designed but had seen better days. We paid for a first class berth, but felt more like a very used hotel room. Air conditioning was nonexistent. It was a good way to travel from Pome to Paris while viewing some of the countryside, but just had to keep focused on that rather than the accommodations.
"lille to paris"Paul l. 12/11/2013
the experience was 1st class from the information as to when the train was departing to when we arrived in Paris.
"Comfortable train travel"Elton m. 11/11/2013

"Zurich to Paris by train"Elton m. 10/11/2013
The whole experience of booking and then travelling with TGV Lyria has been fantastic. I will definitely use it again. Thank you.
"Montbard to Paris EASY"Deborah o. 09/11/2013
What an easy quick way to get into the heart of Paris and back to Burgundy in one day!
"TGV Turin to Paris"David w. 06/11/2013
It was a nice trip but was unable to connect with the WiFi on the train even though I was charged for it. Very convenient.
"Bus to the Gare du Nord"David w. 06/11/2013
If you take the bus to the Gare du Nord, it may drop you in a side street. Be sure to walk round to the front of the station before trying to go in. We had problems getting in the side entrance, as our Eurostar tickets would not scan there.
"Traveling to Paris"Lauren e. 05/11/2013
The seats were nice, spacious, and comfortable. I wish it was more clear where you could pick up snacks and there should be free WiFi!
