Travel inspiration in The Hague and Amsterdam
The Hague, discover the seat of the dutch government
Calm and distinguished, The Hague is the seat of the Netherlands’ government and its European institutions lend it a distinct international character. Enjoy medieval architecture, stately mansions and top-class museums, or hit the sand at nearby Scheveningen, one of the Netherlands’ best beaches.
Amsterdam, capital city of the Netherlands
Amsterdam, the capital city of the Netherlands, is located in the province of North Holland. The city got its name from a dam in the river Amstel and was a small fishing village at its creation. Nowadays Amsterdam is a busy seaport and one of the top European financial centres as well as a major cultural hub. The canals, world-famous museums and historical sights makes Amsterdam one of the most romantic and beautiful cities in Europe. It has all the advantages of a big city: culture, nightlife, restaurants with international cuisine, good transport system. However, the city has also a quiet and relaxed atmosphere largely thanks to its extensive canals, low road traffic, small green parks and flower fields. In Amsterdam, places of interest are never far away, get a bike or hop on a tram for an authentic local experience. Amsterdam can be reached easily by train from other European capitals - Paris, London or Brussels.
"Amsterdam to Paris"Marvin s.
Good trip, comfortable. Ticket was a bit expensive though. Value for money
"Comfortable train ride"Nurhuda Binte j. 25/11/2013
It was the first time taking Thalys from Amsterdam to Paris and it was a nice experience. It was comfortable. Since we booked our tickets in advanced, it was value for money and we were allocated to seats that we wanted. Value for money Convenience
"Great Trip"Jason b. 28/10/2013
Took the train from Paris to Amsterdam for the second leg of our trip. The train is smooth and fast. We had a nice surprise of food included in the premiere class. It wasn't expected which was nice, but wished it were hot food (cold chicken didn't seem that appealing - maybe stick to sandwiches). But nonetheless Thalys always delivers us to our destination on time and budget! Value for money Convenience
"Train journey"Md Tajuddin m. 26/10/2013
The train journey from Paris to Amsterdam was very good and we enjoyed the views of the places along the journey. The train was packed with passengers but there is enough rooms to put your extra luggage, in case you need it. . Value for money Convenience
