Travel inspiration in Marseille and Paris
Marseille, the capital of Provence region
Marseille is the oldest French city and the second most important city in France after Paris. Marseille is located on the southeast coast of France in the Provence region. The city is known for its harbour, sunny climate and beautiful coastline. The natural beauty of Marseille is reflected by its parks and calanques. This explains why Marseille has retained a particular village feel. From the historic Panier district to the Romanesque churches, the city is full of treasures. The famous Notre Dame de la Garde, which overlooks the city from the top of a hill, is not be missed.
Paris, the capital of France
One of the world’s greatest cities, Paris! The capital of France is also known as the City of Light. This enchanting city, at the crossroads of cultures, is the capital of fashion and home to world highlights such as the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre and Avenue des Champs Elysées, to name but a few. In terms of architectural beauty, art history, events, gastronomy and sheer extravagance, Paris is a milestone ahead of any other city on earth. Paris has one of the world’s most extensive public transport systems. You can take a taxi if you are not much of an adventurer, but that would be a pity! Metro (subway or underground), buses and city bicycles are much more fun and are very easy to use, even for beginners.
Reviews & ratings Marseille - Paris
"Luggage bin too small"Pedrito l. 23/07/2015
It was fast but there were just too many stops on the way to Marseille. The luggage storage was too small for the number of passengers in the coach, especially with some travellers who have big suitcases.
"Good experience"Claudia h. 23/07/2015
As always europe trains are on time!
"France Rail Pass"Sanjay b. 13/06/2015
France Rail Pass is required to be validated physically before first journey. This should be avoided. Instead of paper documents make it digital and make facility like e check in. our tain was was at 7.24. The window opened at 7 with a queue . Hence validation before travel was a bit hassle. other wise very comfortable, value for money.
"Very Good"James W r. 28/04/2015
We were a group of 8 adults from South Africa travelling from Marseille to Paris on your first class couches. It was a great experience and really value for money.

"Trip"Marlou k. 02/02/2015
the trip was very good. train is very clean and comfortable. I have first class tickets and in my reservation it says that snacks are complimentary, but it's not. I have to spend extra 20 euros for food in the train.
"Our trip". 16/01/2015
Our train trip from from Marseilles to Paris was great. The train was on time, personnel were very helpful and professional, and the train was very clean. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip.
"Superb trip"Robert b. 22/10/2014
A Friday in mid September (2014-09-19) and a secure booking with our Eurail pass. So necessary as in first class all the seats were occupied for most of the journey. At the carriage door train staff checked the tickets and pass, advised us where to put the luggage and where to find our seats. It sounds simple but it is so reassuring when travelling on full trains. As for the train, it was quiet and obviously fast. On board refreshments at reasonable prices, what more can one ask?
"Wonderful Journey"Marilyn m. 16/10/2014
Beautiful scenery, friendly staff. They even had a bar car. We had a lot of fun. Would love to see more of France, 2 weeks just isn't enough time.
"Great ride"Sunitha p. 08/10/2014
Everything was on time and efficient. The food options were not great, and not very affordable. Also, thre was a dog on the train that peed in the aisle, which would never happen where I'm from.
"excellent"Fausto Antonio m. 07/10/2014
The trip was excellent.
"Great"Surachet t. 05/10/2014

"Need more Baggage space!"Su Ling t. 01/10/2014
I took my TGV from Paris to Marseilles. At first I am pretty excited about the journey, Once I reach inside the train, and i notice the baggage allocation space were full. So I brought my baggage into the cabin, and got stared by the entire cabin people, like im doing something wrong. Hence,I just leave my bag obstructing the passage way from cabin to cabin. Luckily my bag is all safe. The baggage space really need to be improve So the second trip I bought 1st class which is 100% better than second class. If i ever going to travel on TGV again im going for the first class
"Quick trip to Paris"Sandra c. 01/10/2014
After a botched airline e trip to Marseille, due to the Air France strike, we were happy to go TGV from Marseille to Paris. The Marseille train station was modern, clean and efficient. We found our track easily and boarded without any problem. We've traveled TGV before and will do so again.
