Travel inspiration in Marseille and Paris
Marseille, the capital of Provence region
Marseille is the oldest French city and the second most important city in France after Paris. Marseille is located on the southeast coast of France in the Provence region. The city is known for its harbour, sunny climate and beautiful coastline. The natural beauty of Marseille is reflected by its parks and calanques. This explains why Marseille has retained a particular village feel. From the historic Panier district to the Romanesque churches, the city is full of treasures. The famous Notre Dame de la Garde, which overlooks the city from the top of a hill, is not be missed.
Paris, the capital of France
One of the world’s greatest cities, Paris! The capital of France is also known as the City of Light. This enchanting city, at the crossroads of cultures, is the capital of fashion and home to world highlights such as the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre and Avenue des Champs Elysées, to name but a few. In terms of architectural beauty, art history, events, gastronomy and sheer extravagance, Paris is a milestone ahead of any other city on earth. Paris has one of the world’s most extensive public transport systems. You can take a taxi if you are not much of an adventurer, but that would be a pity! Metro (subway or underground), buses and city bicycles are much more fun and are very easy to use, even for beginners.
Reviews & ratings Marseille - Paris
The train stations are neat and clean information desk people were happy to help and the trains were clean even though the trains were no smoking trains some people did smoke inside toilet and sprayed deodorants inside. The station announcement were only in french would be better atleast 2 language preferably English for Asian people.
Great experience and comfortable ..will do moire rail travel in my next trip.
I was extremely happy with the whole process, I dont really speak French, but found the booking process was smooth and clear and easy to understand. I had all information and didnt have to seek help at the train stations. The trains were clean and comfortable and the staff on the platform were helpful. However, I think the carriages could be better labelled, and the security improved as I had things from my luggage stolen while on the train.
The trip was excellent, without any problem, everything on time, and very comfortable, cheaper than a plane in the same total time
First trip for me on the TGV. On time. Clean. Fast. Comfortable. I really enjoyed my trip and only wish we had this train service in the USA! Will definitely ride again. Thanks.
The TGV is undoubtedly the best way to see Europe within a limited time frame. The punctuality is impeccable . However having said that it is important that one has to be careful of the connecting trains that connect to the TGV . In case the connecting trains are delayed TGV has no allowance on the departure time.
It was fast but there were just too many stops on the way to Marseille. The luggage storage was too small for the number of passengers in the coach, especially with some travellers who have big suitcases.
As always europe trains are on time!
excellent in all aspects. full 5 *s
France Rail Pass is required to be validated physically before first journey. This should be avoided. Instead of paper documents make it digital and make facility like e check in. our tain was was at 7.24. The window opened at 7 with a queue . Hence validation before travel was a bit hassle. other wise very comfortable, value for money.
Its easy to order the tickets online. And no problem to get on the train at all. 簡單,方便,快捷 Traveller from HKG.
We were a group of 8 adults from South Africa travelling from Marseille to Paris on your first class couches. It was a great experience and really value for money.
Great experience fast
Both of us enjoyed the fast and picturesque ride to Paris.
the trip was very good. train is very clean and comfortable. I have first class tickets and in my reservation it says that snacks are complimentary, but it's not. I have to spend extra 20 euros for food in the train.
