Travel inspiration in Innsbruck and Zurich
A picture-perfect Austrian city with Alpine appeal, Innsbruck blends lavish baroque palaces and designer boutiques with old-world taverns and glass-fronted bars. Glittering with crystals and shining slopes, it’s steeped in tradition but by no means traditional – as Bögen’s all-night parties confirm.
Located in the western part of Austria, Innsbruck, the capital of the Tyrol region, is a very accessible city with hundreds of shops, restaurants and numerous other year-round attractions. There are many ski areas around the city. Did you know that Innsbruck was twice host of the Winter Olympics in 1964 and 1976, and it also became the first city to host three Winter Olympics when it staged the world’s first Winter Youth Olympics in 2012?
Zürich, the largest city of Switzerland
Zürich is a major financial centre and one of the most preferred Swiss destinations. In 2012, it was voted as the best city to live in Europe. It is an elegant metropolis on the lake bearing its name, with views over the snow-covered Alps, home to over 50 museums, 100 galleries, top hotels, shops and restaurants. Obviously it has to be Zürich! With its excellent public transport connections, this prime Swiss destination is ideal for excursions to the rest of the country. 5 days there, and you will get to know all about Zürich and neighbouring towns.
Reviews & ratings Innsbruck - Zurich
"Easy and Comfort ". 30/01/2015
It was a very smooth and comfortable ride from Zurich to Salzburg. I truly enjoyed the ride on the train overlooking the views of the alps and fields.
"Only one negative"Vincent r. 20/01/2015
Entire experience was very good. My only issue was that I didn't have the option to email tickets to the USA or print at home. I was forced to pay 12€ to ship paper tickets to my home. In today's age, this is absurd. Nothing bad to say otherwise.

This was a very comfortable fast way to get to Innsbruck. The station at Innsbruck is smallish and well signed.
"CONVENIENT "Chitra p. 24/08/2014
"Feedback"Suhas s. 06/04/2014
Overall a pleasant experience. The highlight was the availability of good Indian vegetarian food in the train. The cost was on the higher side (50% higher) especially for the distance when compared to my travel from Venice to Innsbruck
"Excellent choice of travel "Shalini b. 27/01/2014
the journey from Zurich to Salzburg in the second class compartment was really comfortable with plenty of luggage space and the train arrived on time and the journey had spectacular views.

"Munich - Insbruck - Zurich"Liisa k. 25/03/2013
Train from Munich to Insbruck was very full and not so convenient as in place, other people in next row were facing me. Train from Insbruck to Zurich was convenient and WIFI internet was working in Austria until the border of Switzerland. That was really convenient and nice.
