Reviews & ratings Amsterdam - Paris
Easy, accessible, convenient, fast
The journey was excellent
Happy with the trip, had a single seat with plenty of room in first class. Only disappointment was I couldn't get a cup of tea or coffee, apparently the jug was broken. Staff were very attentive. Clearer announcements might have been useful, not having travelled this trip before.
We bought our tickets online before our trip, as it was essential for our itinerary. It was also accepted with our VISA application. We had no problems whatsoever. We arrived at the Paris Nord station, found the intercity lines, looked at the departures/arrivals board, got the platform number, located our coach and got on the train. At the Thalys platforms, they have Thalys info – helpful and friendly. We’ve put our language in the back of our coach, found our seats and settled. Even though it was in second class, it was clean and comfortable. No questions or issues when they checked our tickets. From Amsterdam to Paris went just as smooth. I’ll do it again this way. Peace of mind!
The only bad thing that the wi fi did not work at the day of my travel
We thoroughly enjoyed the journey which was fast and efficient . However when we arrived at the station in Paris my daughter in error left her spectacles / glasses . She noticed the mistake within 2 minutes of getting off the train and tried to alert the driver but he drove off. Fortunately the duty officer on the train met us at the station and contacted the service desk . They promised to send the glasses to the Amsterdam central station service desk . When we arrived at the Amsterdam station , there was absolutely nothing left at the lost and found section nor was there any service desk . As these trains are used by tourists who are unfamiliar with the language etc , they should have a customer care toll free number . I looked on their website and only found addresses but no telephone numbers for customer care . We had travelled on 31 December 2013 from Paris to Amsterdam and my daughter was in coach 16 seat 75/76 . Time was 15.25 pm .It was an expensive pair .
we traveled from Paris to Amsterdam, first class in thayls. The trip was awesome, with nice breakfast, excellent service, and best of all, free wifi. will travel again
The train very clean, on schedule, we are very happy to take the journey with thalys and we will use thalys for next trip, tq
Very nice we enjoy a lot
It was a very nice relaxed trip
I travelled in October and again in December 2013 from Amsterdam to Paris and return, and had the pleasure of travelling in 1st Class. The staff on Thalys are friendly, helpful and a pleasure, my compliments. Seats are comfortable. The wireless network tends to play up a little, however is very convenient to have whilst travelling between cities. Will happily travel again.
My first travel to Europe. Also, my first hi-speed intercity train experience. It was exhilarating and wonderful. If I visit Europe again, I would make sure I use a high speed train again. Unlike airlines, hi-speed train usually doesn't have long delays and you get to your destination right in the middle of a city.
Thank you for the travel, we enjoyed and it was quiet (although it was late).
Oussama, the staff that serves us during our trip was wonderful. He was so hospitable and friendly. It was the best train ride that we had.
